If you are renewing your BMDCA membership (not for new members), please read, complete and submit the necessary form below:

Regular membership renewals were due by April 1. To continue your BMDCA membership, you must submit the Membership Reinstatement Form or renew online before August 1, or your membership will expire.

You may also renew online.

BMDCA Membership Application Instructions and Dues Schedule


To apply for BMDCA membership, please complete BMDCA Membership Application online. You may pay all initiation fees and membership dues online or print the completed application and mail fees & dues to our New Membership Chair.

Additionally, you will need two current unrelated BMDCA members to sponsor your membership using the Online Sponsorship Questionnaire or the printable Sponsorship Questionnaire.

To help speed the process, make sure your Berner-Garde records are complete for you, your Bernese Mountain Dogs, and any litters you have been involved with. Additionally, please review the BMDCA Code of Conduct and BMDCA Constitution & Bylaws.

FEE & DUES SCHEDULE

Membership classes:
   • Junior (9 years to under 18 years, US only, as of January 1)
   • Regular (18 years & older)
   • Senior (60 years & older as of January 1)

Initiation fees:
   • Regular & Senior applicants (required for each) - $20.00
   • Junior applicants - $0.00

Membership dues:
   • One US Adult Member in Household - $60.00
   • One US Senior Member - $45.00
   • Each Additional US Adult or Senior in the Same Household - $25.00
   • Junior Member (US only) - $0.00
   • One Canadian Adult Member in Household - $80.00
   • Canadian Senior Member - $65.00
   • Each Additional Canadian Adult or Senior in the Same Household - $45.00
   • Each non-US/non-Canadian Member - $90.00

NOTE: The membership dues for all applications received between August 1st & December 31st will be applied towards the following year. Application processing takes approximately 2 to 3 months to complete.

If there are both senior and adult members in same household, the senior member will be designated primary member; the others pay the additional household member fee.

All members must renew annually no later than May 1. A reinstatement fee will be assessed after May 1.
